" I came to Cornell from a small college. Attending programs at Cook House has helped me meet friends and make Cornell my home."
— Emily Ranii '07
Upon completion in 2009, the West Campus project will include five new residential houses, a new community recreation center, and outdoor and social and recreational areas. Each house opens to a central quad with intersecting pathways, uniting the new campus.
The effort incorporates and preserves the gothic halls while replacing class halls that were built in the 1950s to accommodate matriculating WWII veterans. A new Noyes Community Recreation Center was completed in January 2007 and the old Noyes center was demolished.
